Research has proven that children who learn a second language at an earlier age progress more quickly and easily in their studies. For this reason, we begin our Hebrew language studies as early as Kindergarten building on the basic foundation our children started with in preschool.
Kindergarten through 2nd Graders start with Hebrew letter recognition and learning basic first words and colors through fun games and songs.
3rd through 6th Graders focus on learning the prayers for Shabbat worship services with each grade level building on the one before in terms of Hebrew reading fluency.
7th Grade has our students preparing to lead a Shabbat worship service.
8th and 9th Graders, having mastered Shabbat worship prayers, begin to study conversational Hebrew.
